The Final Prompt

During this course I came across a great deal of new for me online communities and networks.

For me personally, the most important thing that I have learned about using online communities and networks in innovative design,is that you have to have a clear idea what kind of thing or help you are looking for. It is much easier to find what you need when you know exactly what and where to look for. Another things is to learn to let go of some ideas for he benefit of others. This I learned can speed the working process, especially in a group.

For me , as a designer, I think I will have a few design principles to build my work on and follow them as a guide.

First of all it would be Simplicity. I believe the simplicity is the ultimate form of sophistication I believe that if a product is simple, and so with the simplicity it comes its elegance and easy understanding of the audience.

Second of all I must say is Breaking the stereotypes and thinking outside the box. I believe that is crucial as our society is fast changing nowadays and I think that we should create the future and set it up rather than follow already established rules and grounds.

Third of all I think is Conflict. I think there should be some sort of a conflict in every design project, because when there are conflicts, more opinions and ideas tend to evolve in order to achieve maximum efficency.

To the next years I would say good luck and  focus on from the beginning as thing move very quickly. It would help if the topics were more appealing to the younger audience and this would really affect the contribution they have in this class. For me it would be valuable as I discovered a lot of new stuff to use for my on going IDE and also it thought were to look for answers when I have problems and questions.

Week 7

I want to start by saying that every theme so far has been very interesting to me in various ways and I think all of the themes can be useful to my group’s NGO in order to achieve it’s goal.

If I have to pick one theme, that will work the best for our NGO’s goals, I must say I will pick Crowd-funding. Our NGO unmet needs were Fundraising and network expansion, but the funding is the main goal.I believe that through Crowd-funding our NGO can get the funds it needs in order to maximise the marketing campaigns in order to make the expansion of the network as greater as possible. Another reason, why I think Crowd funding is the best way to solve our NGO unmet needs ,because it is a very easy way to get funding.

I think that the team work and the general group effort will play a key role towards success during this process, because the team work will make the difference between good and great approach to solving a problem.

From my point of view, the solution for our NGO is to use Crowd-sourcing and Crowd-funding in order to gain funds and network expansion. After that I believe the Foundation should spent some amount on Marketing, because I believe that through better Marketing strategies, the Gogorobi Foundation can become a world wide known foundation.

Design for crowdsourcing

Now it has been a few weeks since I first more thoroughly looked into Crowdsourcing and Crowd funding I have to say I find them a potential tools for wishes coming true.

I find Crowdsourcing very very useful for designers who are stuck on something and need a fresh look at things or maybe too. Via crowdsourcing I think you can get great ideas and a lot of help as a designer, especially when you are doing a project of a certain matter that you are not very familiar with, crowdsourcing is the best way to get some higher expertise.

However, I must say there is a down side as well. Some times crowdsourcing may not be the best tool for a designer to get inspiration from other designer or the public as this might some how conflict with the way he sees things, the designers uniqueness. He might lose part of this uniqueness when including other designers and the publics help and thoughts.

At my point. My point is that it really depends of what kinds of person the designer is. He might see himself as an artist and does not want to have others  having anything to do with his work. However he can be also an open minded designer who appreciates the opinion of others and uses  it efficiently. I consider myself somewhere in the middle. I value and respect the opinion of others but for some things I just don’t care what anybody thinks as long as I am happy with it.

All about the Team

Team work has started since the beginning of the human race. For one the first members of the human kind had to hunt in a team in order to provide food. Also the whole evolution theory is based on the concept that the male and the female join in a “team ” so they can carry on the human race forward.

I think our group is generally going well. We have some god ideas and some very good discussions. I think at the beginning we were kind of slow, but now we got on track and we are catching up. We started to worked better as a group in a way of dividing tasks more efficiently and so we get more work done.

I think the impact of our size group is that there are too many different opinions and is very hard to get down to one actual conclusion or decision involved in the solving of a problem. The culture differences in our group by my opinion are no problem at all. If anything, they are beneficial to our brainstorming as different cultures give a very wide range of different ideas.

In the following weeks I will try to help improve the organisation in our group and also try to be more involved in the evaluating of the task and the idea developing. I hope this will impact my group in a way of improving its work quantity and getting better results.

Week 4

I see my self as an individual,an observer, browsing through the Internet, looking for anything that may be of interest of me. It could be an article , a song,a movie,a picture or just a simple video.I often get inspired or find something that I really like but I rarely share with others.I believe I am more of a closed person when it comes to sharing some sort of art as I preferred to do it my closest people, not to the whole world,

I am not a member of certain small or closed groups, but more of open group type with hundreds of thousands people are in, so that more people share. The more people sharing , the higher the chance I will find someone with the same interests as me and so I can be inspired by his work.,so I guess its’s all about finding someone that can provoke you.

For me, the most valuable and most comfortable one is the ability to explore millions of peoples work only by sitting in front of your browsing device.

My preferred type of tools  are the ones that are more to do with the creativity of people.. for example SoundCloud, Instagram,YouTube… In all of these “tools’ ,I follow things that are of interest of me and so i can provoke my thinking in more creative way.

Ultimate sharing expirience

Since the development of the Internet sharing has become a bigger and bigger benefit for the society that know where and for what to look. To me personally sharing is more to do with share your ideas and beliefs with others through some kind of art on every social network in order to inspire others and to be inspired by others. However to me personally “digital identity” is not the best way to identify someone, because I am more fond to the personal contact. I think that when you share your ideas with others over the internet sometimes they might not entirely accept them or understand them not they way you wanted to, because sometimes the best way is not to write it or play it but to “show” it.

I am not sure what exactly do you mean by a “tool” but, for me a “sharing tool” is something like tumblr or SoundCloud, a Newspapers article, magazine article, YouTube or anything that has some sort of art or information in it. It can be appealing to me as I can get inspired of it and be able to help my group the best.

When people find something interesting they get in touch with each other on Skype or Google Hangouts or on Facebook, where they can, by my opinion, quickly, clearly and easily share their ideas and views among their peers.

I am willing to teach anybody, anything that they think I know well enough to teach.

I am not really familiar with the other groups NGO’s ” unmet needs”, so my expertise could be of use of them when I get to know their projects better.

Project Community as they call it..

After my first meeting with Project Community I was and in fact I still am very strangely but nicely confused. I think the purpose of this class is to teach us,or we to teach our selves, to work efficient and organised  in a group, being part of something, and beyond all how to develop our potential and our ideas using the help of others in order to achieve a full accomplishment of a task or a solution for a problem.

What I hope to get and learn from this class is the ability to be as efficient member of a group as possible and also how to tackle different problems and ideas using the help of others .

I hope my group reaches very noticeable and creative solutions for the problems or projects we have, by working efficiently organised as a group, that I know, has the a great potential of revolving wonderful ideas.

I think I can contribute to my group by working on my maximum as a group member and also I can help by forgetting my own opinion in times, when it is in interest of our group and our projects.
